My cousin tried to get into the Russian Spetznaz. I didn't really get to ask him much, because I've only seen him once, on a holiday. But it wold be understandably be very difficult. Imagine the lengths they'd march you, or the altitudes, considering Russia's size and the places where they usually fight- hilly, snowy, run-down country (i.e., Georgia.)
Have you seen how they teach you to do all those back flips, though, in videos? Like that'd help them in a Hostage Situation, or a battle with a terrorist organization, though. Those fellas must go through alot, too.

I'm American & although we kinda grow up being taught "Seals > The World" I will admit that Seals would likely lose to SAS but as has been mentioned already Delta owns everyone...
You can find SAS soldiers, Delta soldiers don't even exist, I mean it was just recently that they were even acknowledged for real right?
But of course I don't have any experience, the closest I got to the military was getting my physical & waiting for Basic Training when I got arrested for the first time & was shunned from everything but the Air Force.

Secrecy normally means they are doing something that goes against international law or are doing things that would look bad for the government.

Being British I would say SAS as they were the original idea for special foreces. Also the British invented special forces against the Aericans in the war of independance, there were the first unti to ever wear camouflage uniforms (Instead of bright red! How dumb)

Though this idea was discontinued. (Also dumb)

Though I don't think you can possibly argue "who the best are" it all depends on the actual people, not their training really.

Also how many USA special forces are there? I actually don't know! And who's better SEAL or Delta?
US Army: "Green Berets" - "Rangers" - "Night Stalkers" (Delta Force is a branch from the green berets)
US Navy: "SEAL"
US Marine: "Scout Sniper" - "Force Recon" - "Fleet Anti-terrorism Security Team"
US Government: "NSA" "CIA"

So may to choose from!

Just asking but are the SEALS the same as our SBS? So they're the same as Delta but wet?

I spoke to a guy at uni who is in the same society as me and he tried out for the SAS. He did 7 years normal military service Royal Marines style, the tried out for the SAS, he passed the first stages but failed after he got a cut in the jungle, unlucky bastard. He says he would have been able to cope with the interigation as he had to do that for the marines anyway.

I have to say he is one hard motherfucker, short but built.

Australian and British SAS are very similar. After all, the Australian SAS was based upon the British model that emerged after WW2.

If you want to start on some nationalistic my SAS is better than your SAS, don't even.
