Ok, for some reason SF has alot of problems with my Graphics Card I'm guessing. I have a x700 Pro ATI if you're wondering.

This is what it does sometimes:

And then sometimes when I try to scope a weapon, the game freezes, not the computer, and I either wait 10 minutes so I can continue playing or hit Ctrl+Alt+Del and it shuts it off and throws me to desktop. Why?

Havent seen that problem in the SS but me and my roommate have crashed about twice each since starting SF. Just crashes, no bullshit attached. We both run 6800's.

Also something wierd, on the night mission I sometimes would turn and see through walls and stuff, as if it was some sort of glitch.

SF has more detailed grapics thenh BF2. I use a 6800 with BF2 had video setting mixed between high and med. With SF I had to set all setting to med. Was getting some graphics chop on  couple of the 64 man maps. In full and near full 64 man servers. Even with settings at med the graphic detail looks better then Bf2 with settings at high. Try setting everything to med with shadows off and screen res at 800x600.

I had this exact problem running a 6800, fixed it by setting terrain to medium, instead of low.

Yeah that's what I thought, ATI and all that.

Hackers, why did I know some immature morons would come in and say that? *rolls eyes*

Yeah, I suppse I could hack on a local server with no one on it. Right.

And is there any drivers out with more compatibility with SF for ATI cards?

Jewbat's running a WALL HACK!! -emails EA with a screenshot-

j/k

I'm running an ati radeon and seeing the same thing but only on the original BF2 maps. My guess would be some changes with the engine/textures/polygons in the core files of SF and it's throwing off some of the textures/skins in the original maps. Perhaps some graphics designer or level builder might have a more helpful explanation. All i have is: they released SF before testing it and now we just have to wait for a patch.

Didn't EA come out with drivers for ATI cards to fix these problems though? I was wondering about those.

I had the same prob running my ATI.  Even with the newest catylst it didn't solve anything.   What I did was clear out the cache directory, started bf2,  loaded a map (local server), and let it do the optimize shaders thing for a while.  After that I didn't have anymore probs.

Might be heat issues...try taking off the side panel and placing a fan next to the opening.

Hi all,

I had the same problem but my card is a Nvidia FX5500.    I had to revert to an older version of the driver. Probably nothing to do with yours but just sharing the pain!
