Hi

For the last week or so (after the last bf2s.com downtime if I'm not mistaken) I've been getting an error message every time I browse the forums here. The error message says: "Error establishing an encrypted connection to www.paypal.com. Error Code: -5990."
I've narrowed it down to it being a problem with the "Paypal donate" image on the top right which is causing me problems when using Firefox. The image doesn't load and I get the alert message. The problem does not occur when using Internet Exploder. In that browser the image loads correctly and no alert is shown. I've tried to figure out if there is a setting in FF that can do something about it, but I've been unable to find it so far.
So, does anyone know how to get around this problem and still be able to use Firefox? Any help would be much appreciated!

[Edit:]I can get rid of the problem if I uncheck "Load images" in the options, or check the "for the originating site only", but I don't want to have to choose between those two. The former means no images whatsoever, and the latter means no sigs and other externally linked images. Neither is much fun

There's always been a wierd (but funny) bug on this site. It's like when the SQL dtabase errors or doesn't know what to do, it tries to send you to paypal. lolz

For those of you who've commented on one specific part of my post. It was purposely written that way

Well...I found a viable solution, finally. Allow images to load, but block www.paypal.com. It works for me as I don't use Paypal on a regular basis, but it would suck for others I'd imagine.

Edit: Finally found the correct solution if anyone else encounters the same. It's in "Tools > Options > Advanced > Security > Verification". Check "Do not use OCSP..." That solved it all

And I still stand by my statement; the spelling was intentional!
