Thats right, there is a new commander his name is: IMRDarkchaos.

And also on a side note. There is now proof that the Major General and Lt.Gen ranks are not permanent.

My mate Andhyka was Lt.Gen last week.

He stopped playing this week and now he isnt Lt.Gen he was demoted back to Brigaider Gen. Now the new Lt.Gen is My_A5s17.

As i posted before.

They already have basically.

There is no real requirements, its just based on weekly performance. So if you get a ton of gold badges and ribbons/medals in a week. Then you have a good chance of getting it.

Firstly how official do you need it man?

It was in the Battlefield 2142 Manual. This is what it says exactly. Word for Word.

"Aswell as the standard ranks, Battlefield 2142features three additional Top Officer Ranks (Major General,Lieutenant General and Supreme Commander),Which are awarded or lost based on your weekly performance online."

Holy shit, I saw the new supreme commander earlier today...I at first looked at his rank symbol and went "WTF mate?" and upon double checking it...yeah, it was him, Darkchaos.

Latter note: god damn it, I should have hunted him down and knifed him when I had the chance.

His best round score isnt outrageous. I have a BRS of 184 and i would have gottan 200 easily if i hadnt tked a couple of ppl. Got a kill streak of 81 in that round aswell.

He probably got it defending the titan or something. Or maybe APC whoring on Fall of Berlin.

That's nice, however very vague. It does not tell anything about the actual requirements. "Weekly performance online"? What about someone who played 150 rounds and won 149? Wouldn't you call that an awesome performance? What about someone who killed 1500 guys and only died 100 times, on foot perhaps. Wouldn't you call that awesome performance?

So, to cut this short and clarify:
OFFICIAL is only and absolutely only what comes directly from DICE or gets confirmed by them. Anything else is rumor and speculation and that is something noone with a somewhat working mind would build a house on.
Unless they clearly state something like
"To become Lt. Gen. you must do a., b., c. and/or have badge/ribbon/medal 1,2,3" we do not have anything official.
