Well, I have to figure out how a 2 parallel lines that are cut by a transversal
https://www.mathnstuff.com/math/spoken/here/2class/260/trans1.gif
and the angles that are formed are used in real life.  Yes I understand that the basic concept is very easy.  All I care about is how I can use that in real life.  I'm good at the math part, I suck at the creative part on how to apply it.  Also, being used in construction is not an option.  Any help will be appreciated.

some higher level math classes it could come in handy. it's good to know all about math for engineering...

don't know if i've personally referred to this specifically, but geometry basics are needed for engineering problems. i've found myself from time to time referring to stupid stuff like this for engineering problems, so it has some practical use.

Thanks but I don't think "you will use it later in math" is acceptable.

I'm sure what to google though "Parallel lines cut by a transversal uses in real life" doesn't really get a lot of hits.

A road? Runway?  What do you mean real life?

Try as the city subdivider...haveing to create housing development lots =P
might work...more creative, cause it uses the angles, and not jsut the lines

i had to do geometry last year, you could use it to find 2 lots of equal size.  Like the two angles are congruent so hat you can plan buildings, I dunno but thats what I remember...

Sounds like your prof is doing lines.

I may have to go with construction.  By real life the teacher just meant anywhere in real life (outside of school) that you would use the parallel lines and transversal or the fact that the various types of angles are congruent.

There really is no other way to use this though besides construction unless someone comes up to you and says "angle 2 is 38 degrees, what is the measure of angle 6?"

Yeah, that one sounds good, I guess I'll go with that.  Karma to everyone that helped out, well until I run out for the day, it may come later.

you could do intercept pathing, but then you'd need velocity measured in
