i hate it when iam commander and all the consoles are full of noobs doing nothing instead of cappin flags...
It truly depends; if it's guys that are contantly repairing guns, despite the fact that they're gonna get blown up over and over again, these are people I hate with a passion. Engineer whores should not get cheap points and ruin all that hard work of blowing apart those guns in a matter of seconds...the guns need balancing so that if you destroy them, they take MUCH longer to repair.
I only ever user the guns if I'm playing as commander (as theres no arty in 2142 on Titan Mode)

The people who sit in AA turrets and titan AA and titan guns all around are pathetic. This is a FPS game. Sitting in there has to be the most boring shit ever, and yet they will sit in there all round happy with the 5-10 kills they might get. Using the titan guns does not make you a retarded waste of skin, however, sitting in them all round and stuff does. ESPECIALLY when the titan has not moved yet and the guns look out on nothing but they sit in there anticipating that the titan will move.... ugh it gets me fuming. Plus like I was going to touch on earlier, sitting in AA guns and titan guns is good for your team's defense but this is not a war its a game go out and have some fun enjoy interacting (even if that interaction is shooting) with other ppl...don't sit in a static turret. rabble rabble rabble
If the titan is positioned properly, there are very effective at defending silos, eliminate APCs parked to launch pods. But i see the point ... it does look funny. Great place to get kill streak pins

Have you never seen the damage those guns do when your titan is parked over a flag? Get your squad & try to take an enemy flag that has their titan over it, those guns are damned useful in certain situations but 80% of the time the gunners are really just a waste of space.

My Titan Gun Checklist
1. Is the Titan positioned near a silo?
2. Do you own the silo?
3. Can you hit the silo?
4. Are the Titan shields up?
5. Are you within L-Pod range of the Enemy Titan?
if i'm over a silo I can hit, and I don't own it, I'm man the titan gun and pound that silo, or if I know an enemy is inbound to a silo my titan is by, and I happen to spawn on the titan and I can hit the silo, I'll defend that silo.
if the Shields are down, and we're not withing L-Pod range, I man the AA guns. If we are within L-Pod range, fuck it, guns are now officially pointless.

they should make the Titanguns only usable by the commander or something like that imo.
with a correctly placed titan, they can be a bitch to the other team when they try capping flags. but if people just sit there the entire time, then they're a waste of space. i've been on them a couple times. but only for a minute or two if nothing is around worth shooting. then i'll just pod to the nearest enemy silo and cap it, unless someone from my team decides to rain titan death down upon me.
that alone could be the worst part about it. i'll be the only one there trying to cap the flag, and some noob asshole will hit me with that shit, killing me and preventing the flag capture.

I just said, I only man the AA if we are outside of L-Pod range, which tends to be too far to make that strategy worthwhile.

Its just that beginners think they damage enemy titan when they shoot at enemy docking place because you get that damage thing showing up so they end up sitting 24h when enemy titan is in range and just fire. That AA gun should have a overheat or something or just remove the damage indication.

Get a friend as support and pilum the shit out of the titan guns, if they repair it you will get 56 free points, they wont even be able to hit you if you are directly under the titan.
