Ive been playing bf2 for about a month, and i just started seeing people throwing claymores, ea should have fixed this in one of there 38 patches
Throwing claymores? This I have not seen.

but protecting yourself with them is a good thing, although i think snipers should only be able to carrie 1 clay and only have 1 deployed at a time that would be better
They should make them like in 2142, where you can prone or crouch past them without setting them off.
But 90% of the time some dickhead teammate sprints past it while you are crouching and gets both of us blown up...

1 being deployed at a time wouldnt be bad, but I use them from time to time to cover 2 paths at once. If I am on top of a building that has stairs coming into the building, then going to the roof, I use both mines at the same time. Not a big deal, but the 1 at a time would be a decent way to do it.
And if you're Recon and have APM mines in your inventory, you can press G to pick them up. They should implement that in BF2 too.PBAsydney wrote:

"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
Only if you have already thrown one or both of yours.haffeysucks wrote:

And ff off servers should be unranked, I know its stupid if teammembers dont understand that a red skull indicating a friendly mine is dangerous and drive over it, but it does hold back the clay whoring and nade spamming a little (it usually holds back all the clay spamming, cos noobies never look at server status and just toss some randomly around hotel teamkilling themselves and 2 others - then leaving ashamed )
Youll never find our server running ff off.

Yeah, I know. I like to replace theirs (the enemy's) with mine, then pick them up. I also love stealing teammates' APMs in the Titan catwalks, then placing them down as my own.PBAsydney wrote:

The nonstop claymore spamming is actually one of the main reasons I don't like snipers.
grenades are the bigger threat in this situation as u just throw down ammo bags and just keep clicking....
More often than not I see them running straight for me, trying to chuck thm at my feet....cause they take a little bit of time to activate...knifies

So in that case hate the playah, not the class, yo.greenhaven wrote:

...do we blanket condemn support because of a few all-out 'nade spammers?
As a medic you should only be able to revive once per death also.Gamematt wrote:

Well, there are always two sides of the story... especially when it comes to N-O-O-B-S!
I've seen them run into a claymore up to 10 (as in ten) times in a game - pretty much always the same spots in Karkand, the alleyways south of the hotel. Oh, and btw, most of them are snipers, trying to spam your Hotel spawn points.
So it might be uncool to use the claymores - but why should i waste those points when defending the hotel as MEC? Why shouldn't i use them to stop an enemy from spawn raping (when playing USMC).
In a real noobish round, I'm sometimes more busy finding ammo packs then to stop the advancing enemy with my beloved L96.
Oh, and btw, yes, you'll always find me close to the front line, and yes, I jump down from roofs to take flags (back), and yes, I switch to other classes when necessary (i.e. close-quarter flag-defense or squad support).
Personally, i find that most guys repeatedly running into one and the same claymore-spot again and again and again are the very same that use med- and ammo packs only for themselves, those that take your med kit when you're down but won't bother reviving you. Thus, i see a claymore as the bf2 version of "what goes around, comes around" (aka karma).
Nonetheless I'd love to see the option to pick up a claymore or at least being able to crouch/sneak by one.
Cheers

I don't even use claymores. There's no point (unless you're really exposed) and there's a good chance it'll end up as a teamkill anyway.
everytime i get hit with a claymore i yell out CLAYMORE!!! in a raspy ass voice everyone laughs....
Come on, claymores rule, they are what got me my explosives expert. Now that I have that I haven't used the sniper kit in some time.
What's next no more using Ak's, please accept if you are one of the people that whine about stuff in this game you are meant to be the fodder stop whining your doing your job & wrench the things for your teammates since your so good at sniffing them out.

Claymores own you all!
I think snipers should be able to carry as many claymore mines as assault gets grenades.
