That is correct, it is because it is not Microsoft, and it does not store temp files in the same directory.

Disk Cleanup is crap now. What you want is CCleaner.

I hate it. I've been using it for about 2 months now and I absolutely hate it. It thinks that it's more important than anything else I'm doing. For example: Click a link on bf2s, click over to Outlook. 2 seconds later it brings IE7 back up in the middle of typing an email. Did I mention that I hate it?
TweakUI stops that crap from happening.  http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/down … rtoys.mspx.
Well, I was going to mention the same problem, but it looks like that has been taken care of if I follow that link.  I don't like how my address bar can't be moved.  I liked it right above the window so I didn't have to move my eyes as far to see where I'm at.  (Note: I surf the web on a projector in a classroom meant for 300 people so it's a lot farther than my old 13" monitor was...  OK, I lied.  I still have the 13" monitor, but now it's on my laptop.  I'm just ultra lazy.)

LOL@ctfmon, I always think of a Jamaican accent when I see that too.

CrapCleaner works like a dream... small, reliable and dead fast to run. Only problem is it can work a bit too well and get rid of some prefs that you might want to keep (e.g. browser auto-completes).

What I hate about IE7 is the toolbars. With every other browser its done smartly. One bar for File, Edit, View, Help, Pickle. One bar for Address (and search). One bar for tabs. But not in IE7. Nooooo. They got a blind dead monkey to design it.

The first thing I said when I updated was "Where the fuck's the toolbar?", "What is this shit doing over here?"

Other than that its alright.
Microsoft's customer research indicated that most people like to have a bigger browsing area and less toolbars.  This may be crap, but that is what they are sticking to anyway.  For those of you who can't live without the Menu toolbar -   Right-click on the empty space at the top of IE and check the "menu bar" option.  You're welcome.

Dont you do it. get at least 4 computers a day in for repair at work that broke after installing IE7.. if you MUST, image the hard drive using some software like Acronis or Norton Ghost so you have something to go back to

IE7's new interface is clunky and oversimplified (as is Windows Media Player 11). Firefox 2.0's interface is more properly squared and accessible than its Microsoft counterpoint.

As for Microsoft's update system, approach with caution. Just from using the recommended set of updates, it screwed my system so completely that it was more time-effective to reformat than to manually troubleshoot.

I'd rather take my chances with honest hackers.

Reasons I hate IE: Ungodly slow, full of security holes, ugly, crappy UI, and Microsoft made it.

Reasons I love Firefox: Ub3r fast, good security (always asks before performing functions), has tabs, tons of skins and add-ons available, the best pop-up blocker I've ever used, easy-to-use UI, and it's not Microsoft.

Conclusion: Firefox [WTFPWNZ] Internet Explorer
