I have a flag that says it was flown over the U.S. Capitol, does this mean it was on the Capitol flag pole or it was actually flown (like in a plane) over the Capitol?

alright time to capitalise. i need 1000 US Flags to be shipped somehow to fly over the Capitol. I need a stamp with the words "This Flag was flown over the US Capitol." up the cost 35%. i'm gonna be rich
Congrats!..
I have one of those as well. I'm also an Eagle Scout.
Also have one that was flown on a bombing run over Bahgdad by a friend of mine in the Air Force, as well as the flag that was draped over my Grandfather's coffin after Korea.
All in all I have about 6 US flags in my posession. All are special to me in some way.

I think my mom has mine in a box somewhere at my parents house. Or it was before they moved.

I've got three Canadian flags...
Yay for l'unifolié!
edit: oh yeah, so i'm wondering, if all Eagle Scouts get a Capitol flag, how does that work? Do they just hoist up a bunch of flags every year solely for the Eagle Scouts?

I received one because of a local chapter of older individuals. It was a pro-America organization that went around the council handing out these flags at Court of Honors. They said the same speech everytime, and did the same routine everytime. I know this because I've been to about a dozen of these. One of which was my own of course.
Wish I could remember the name of the organization.....

I was on an escort mission and they had a bunch of Canadians as OpFor for the local training mission... Well some of them were in transit and stayed a week or so in our big ass circus type tent. They hung a big Canadian flag above their bunks as high as they could reach... My pride got the better of me so I sent one of my troops to get the ladder and pole used for changing the lights and I went to Wal-Mart and bought a US Flag. We hung it from the highest of the high points in the tent and said the Pledge of Allegiance everyday they were there after that...Coolbeano wrote:
