The Asus 22" is a pretty nice monitor. I've seen it in the flesh in a local store and it's quite a good buy for the money.

You can't really compare these monitors as a 22" widescreen can't be put along side a 19" 4:3 and a sensible comparison made. If you can afford the 22" then go with that, otherwise Samsung monitors are good. You might also want to check out the Hanns-G monitors as they are making good stuff these days at a good price.

Depends on what you'll use them for.  If you're committed to EA games, there's no point getting a widescreen monitor, so a 20" 4:3 would be sufficient.  If you want real games from real developers, a 22"+ widescreen might be better.

I've heard that Samsung are the masters of the large widescreen monitors - their screens seem better than the rest.  Having said that, Viewsonic do really good 4:3 monitors.

would've been my choice.  (edit: it IS my choice, I got one)
(Somehow on the US page it says it got 1600:1 contrast, on the German however it says there's a contrast ratio of 2000:1 Note, that this contrast value is not dynamic like the one of the Samsung 931BF and that maximum values of over 2500:1 have been achieved with the LG 1970HR).

If that LG thing is not available for you, however, take the Samsung. I think, you're going to bewell served with it.

Screw that headset. I got it and sold it the next day (for the same price, erh well).

Just a few points:
- If you don't have a rather big head, the whole weight of the headset will be only held by your ears, which incredibly hurt after 15 minutes.
- The sound is less than average.
- The microphone is nowhere near your mouth.
- The microphone is not flexible
- The microphone is not sensible enough.
- The microphone doesn't really cancel the noise around you, not at all.

Look for some solid headset, Sennheiser produces quite neat headsets for only some dollars more. Get one. ;-)

First one listed, that samsung is about the best gaming monitor around.  Extremely high contrast ratio and a very short responce time makes it about the best choice for gaming.
