Do I have to rent a server or can I build and maintain my own BF2142 Ranked server to play on? If I can, where do I get the files to run the server and what are the requirements?

That dipends u can make your own unranked server for you to have ranked server you need to rent that off EA trusted Partners
But you can like I said make unranked server and host the game on your PC

As far as I know you can Bf2142 is based on BF2 so most of the files are same if you have modmanger in BF2142 folder you should be able to and Im sure you can make 1 in you profile just create local server and give friends the I.P and portEmil_the_Slayer wrote:

note smaller the server better chance u have plaing try making 6 people server first or sumthing as you need really powerfull pc to run server of your mashine
