Ok.. i have this question maybe it has allready been answered somewhere.. but anyway i have been working towards my Navy Cross.. and now with SF i cant be USMC.. or get my navy cross right? or can i still get that.. because else it would be a real waste of time..

you can get it but you wont get it playing sf you have to play bf2 to get bf2 awards and likewise with sf,however you do accunulate kit/vehicle time in either game.
im not even shooting to get the bf2 sf awards, just the origional ones.
I still play alot of Karkand, even with SF installed. If you like a map, don't desert it because there are new ones!

i used to play on moders.. it 24/7 moders.. but they dont have any servers left on BF2.. so i guess i am just going to to buy SF.. thanks for yur replies anyway:D.. kinda sucks that u wont get the same awards in SF.. or the same and new ones because now i did all the work for nothing..
Moders still has 2 24/7 karkand servers for bf2... they just have them patched to 1.12 so anyone with SF can still get on them.

I believe you'll still get a lot of the old BF2 awards in SF... for instance you could likely get the armor medal, or the hilo medal. Of course... you won't get the Navy Cross on SF, because you're not playing USMC (though really that medal should be changed, to be a total of both USMC and SEAL time... because of course the SEALs *are* US Navy)... but you wouldn't get that medal in BF2 if you try to play exclusively MEC/China either.
ATM I only see 1 medal you shouldn't be awarded in SF... Air Combat Medal. Some others could probably be awarded in SF... but you'd need to earn most/part of the prereqs in BF2 maps. Navy Cross, Golden Scimitar, and People's Medalion (for instance, if you play a BF2 map and get your 500th hour as USMC with the other req's satisfied, you ought to get the medal the next server you join, even if it's SF), and the Infantry series medals (you can only get their badges on BF2 maps... except Knife and Pistol can probably be earned on SF, and your SF time counts towards the 500h needed). You couldn't get Air Combat (at least at the moment) because none of the SF maps have jets (and it has an IAR aircraft kill requirement).

Yes everythings the same, you get the SF unlocks in BF2. People Flash Bangin' Karkand all the time, I just see white most of the time.
