After going on 3 consecutive servers today where it took me at least 15 hits to kill someone, I got so pissed off that I uninstalled BF2 and called it quits. But when I checked the folder to make sure it had all fucked off, I found my old backup copy of 1.12. So, I started it up, and realised how much fun this game once was. Everything was smooth, fun, and problem-free. I suggest you at least try it once again, just to see how much better it is.
I should never have had doubts about buying BF2. All that time I missed before DICE brought an end to their own game.
So, do you think that BF2 has actually gotten better throughout the patches? or even remains any fun at all?
I don't.
I wouldnt trust DICE programming the clock on my vcr. They're the worst in the market.
Their patches need their own patches. They cant even get the server IP to show up on the
connecting page.. and in-game as well. They should ship Teamspeak, A notepad and a package
of ink pens with every copy.
I knew it was all downhill when they issued a patch just for the anti jumping ('bunny hop') cry babies.
When they go out of their way to cave in to some cry babies who cant hit a guy whos jumping, you
know its over.
DICE is and always will be pathetic. I will never purchase another EA product. Ive learned my lesson.
Their stats system ruined the game... ranked servers meant babysitting rules (# before game starts..)
also created stat padders which created ego bastards who thought their rank actually meant something.
Not to mention, nobody ever answered my question from 18 months ago.. WHY DO RANKED SERVERS
COST MORE THAN UNRANKED ? Never a valid answer to that one.. same bandwidth, same game. Why
more? Because EA strong armed gsps forcing them to give them free servers ? Blah give me a break.
EA and DICE are the worst combination of Producer / Marketer ever made. Some of the bugs in this
game have been there since day one. Its also the most unstable game engine Ive ever seen in my 25+
years of gaming.
Never another one of my dimes, ever.
