Help!! with my WMP.

I downloaded 5 "MTV Pimp My Ride" videos. But when I watch him, it always say's this:

Then comes this: Just listenin' to what there saying. but I don't see shit.

Instead of this: The real video. And this is how it should be.

Please help me, I would really love to watch these videos. What is a "codec" anyway?

A Codec: Video is compressed before its distributed, and it needs to be decoded on your end so its playable. Codecs are the instructions on decompressing that data.

WMP is hopeless at getting new codecs.

Best thing to do is get G-Spot and run the video through that, it'll tell you exactly what video and audio codecs it needs to play that file.

All you have to do after that is hunt the codecs down, which is fairly easy as you would only be downloading videos that use popular codecs.

Oh and Kamakazi linked you to DivX, a very popular codec (which it may be using).

LOL. Thats because they use a Colour Overlay to display video.
They just put the video anywhere where that colour is (which is a dark red).

I can just imagine you seeing your video on the website. OMFG HOW'D THEY DO THAT?!
