Good Day,
I got a ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe and it has AI NOS,and other feature so I can overclock my PC.
I have a AMD Athlon X2 3800+ with his original fan...

What is safe for me to do???

By the same token...:

PEG Link
This latest technology, PEG (PCI Express Graphics) Link Mode, is a unique feature that enables users to boost graphics card performance for superior video quality. PEG Link allows users to raise GPU and VGA memory throughput via the motherboard BIOS the same way system bus and memory bus are tweaked. PEG Link Mode enables powerful video performance on DX8 and DX9 applications. ASUS engineers carefully fine-tuned the parameters for every single PCI-Express card to provide system stability during high-speed graphics operation.
If I get a Blue Screen Of Death...saying the I should disable memory shadowing...is that cause by this option???

before u do anything, you'll wanna get cpu-z (google it), and a program to moniter temperatures inside ur machine, (i use speed fan, but there's probably loads out there).

First you should buy an aftermarket heatsink/fan combo.

Something with a few more CFM's than the stock fan is crucial to keeping your temps down.

Odds are your temps won't go up much at all until you have to raise your cpu voltage. Not sure on all the new processors. I only have experience o/cing the XP+ line from AMD.

I currently run a XP2800+ @ XP3200+ specs. Nothing big, but it's enough to notice.

I also have a very early stepping of a 2800+ that hits a serious wall past 3200+ specs

The M's always o/ced better anyway.

Nice overclocker the X2 3800+.

You can squeeze a lot more performance out of that. Just play around and see what you can get. Don't go raising the voltage too high though - that's when chips get fried.

And in the BIOS it's say 3% , 5% , 10% and disable!!!
Now it's on disable until I buy an aftermarket HS&F

No, no, no.

Auto overclocking is gay. You want to set it to manual and play about a bit. All this AI NOS rubbish is for noobs.

you may want to run a 9h stress test to make 100% shure your comp will survive overclocked as some after a few days it may just melt your computer *not literally* but it will cause your computer problems

you alos know that if you do overclock your CPU you take the manufacturers guarantee away and it also takes a few years of the CPU's life

so you loose bout 3 years of life or less for a perfomance increase

dont auto overclock as thats gay

do it manually in the bios

Best way to overclock your CPU is through BIOS. All those little apps suck balls.

I've got my A64 3700+ San Diego oc'd to 2.8GHz from 2.2 stock. Runs 28C idle and 40C loaded @ 1.43v, thanks to the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro. That effectively makes it a FX-57! Pretty sweet for a <$100 CPU. I could probably hit 3GHz, but I wanna lap the cooler and maybe put a higher CFM fan on it first.

My 7600GT is clocked to 600MHz core, 1600 memory, gets up to 61C running ATITool for 2+ hours, probably lower when actually gaming. Not bad, but I might upgrade to a Zalman cooler for giggles.

My cheapo ram wont overclock for shit. Gonna look at some Corsair XMS 1GB x 2 soon.

The ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe has turned out to be one screaming monster of an overclocker.
