Since BF2 is optimized for Nvidia, I would say any of their top cards. I got an ATI X1950 pro and it works fine, but its all your choice

I love my new 1950pro. Still like my x800xt. Just lost a x800xl. My other pc has a BFG6800gtoc AGP. It's ok as well.
My GeForce 7600 GS runs fine. If I had to buy a new one, I'd wait until the next card comes out then buy the 7900, 7950 or 8800 depending on how much cheaper it is by then.
I've got 2x GF7900GTX.. but if I had to buy new ones then probably 2x GF8800GTX
moved to Tech and btw, maybe use this topic, altough it´s a little out of date because it was before Nvidia 8series and Core2Duo...
If you wanna play BF2, a single Nvidia 7800GTX PCIE will do.
I play it on 1600 x 1200. But i suggest you to stock up your RAM to 2GB if you haven't yet.
If you buy another one and run it in SLI, it will give you only 25% more power.
Windows XP can't managed SLI that well.
Also search http://www.tomshardware.com/ for Test articles.
