what ping did you get?
I used to use a 56k on another game a a few years back and used to get around 400. Can only imagine you'd have the same on BF2.
Not good.

i've tried it,ping was something like 1200+.needless to say did'nt stay on a server very long.....................
The Sierra games have pretty good ping for 56k. I usually had around 220ish which isn't too bad at all, especially after you get used to it. I've tried BF2 on 56k but I couldn't even connect to the account server.
lol my ping wasnt even close if thats the case!
I used to get 400 on CS 1.6 and 350-400 on SOF2 until broadband became available in this area.
I remember a member of my old SOF2 clan who ran on a 33.3K modem. LOL that was amusing. 600+ ping on servers in his own country God knows how he ever joined the clan.

lol! i cant stand pings over 100...must suck to have dialup
i've been using 1mb dial up on BF2 for a year now and on most server i get a ping of 23-50
I don't think 1Mbps dial-up exists.x.x.RD.x.x wrote:

You still have to hook up just you don't get the "brrrrrrrrr-dede-de-dedo-do-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" that the abomination that is dial up gives out.
I've played BF1942 with dial-up before I got ADSL, got kicked after a minute or so because I had a ping of about 800-1000.
tryed it, on my old modem. got pings of around 400-500 in london servers. used to play BHD ono a 56k tho, no problems, cos everyone had the same pings, so it was ok

If u have dial-up and try playing cod2, it says "server is only for low PINGERS" xD
