Adjustible thrust, continuous looping/pitch, highly accurate adjustments, more realistic.

If you have a good joystick will have many buttons and can be mapped cleverly so missile firing/switching is faster.

That video was so lame.... I could fly through the giant red crane on dalian 50 times also with my keyboard only.

Look, I'm sure you can fly very well with a mouse and keyboard (probably better than I do with a stick as I suck at flying) but allow me to ask a couple of questions.

1) How many loops can you do until you run out of desk-space or cord with a mouse?
2) Can you change the pitch/roll of your jet with minuet amounts of accuracy with a keyboard?
3) If a mouse and keyboard offer far greater control why have aircraft used joysticks (or yolks) since the Wright brothers first sent a few bits of wood and some bed spread skywards?
1. Infinite (until my arm dies so maybe 150), that or bind the cursor keys to their respective directions and then u can go forever in pixel perfect circles.

2. Yes
3. Coz doing kerazy rolls and stuff in a moving plane would make the mouse hit you in the face, duh.

I will lol at anyone who thinks that m/k can even come close to the accuracy and swiftness of a joystick.

lol at me then....

Flying with mk is hard to learn, i guess many people struggle a bit then think or maybe hear that they need a stick to fly.

But it all comes down to practice...

As i sad before i think sticks have an marginal advantage in dogfights that goes on for 5 minutes or longer, but yeah, whatever, i feel no need to get one...

Edit: There is a lot of information/guides on how to set up and use a joystick, but on the m/k part all guides in here are crap. Feel free to ask if you need any advice

Edit2: And a mouse mat thats 50x70 cm and a g5 mouse also helps

Mouse and keyboard have its advantages and distadvantages, for one. You do not have to buy a joystick and second, in a chopper its much easier to solo chopper...
Even though, a joystick will react much faster than a mouse ever can, but then again a mouse isn't designed for that shiiit aswell..

Probably all day long, either that or my arm dies...

the limits of battlefield 2 jets make keyboard and mouse about as effective as joystick, its all based on personal preference.  Joystick is harder to line up MGs but you get smoother movement.  Mouse and keyboard its easier to line up MGs and such, but you can't pull the mouse down or push it up forever

I use keyboard and mouse though

Airliners tend to have those funky steering wheel type things not joy sticks, fighters have sticks simply because they don't have space for much else.

(Hint: The answer is no)
But you can by using just a keyboard. (If you're good enough...)

Becuase the Wright brother didn't have keyboards... Duh...

On a more serious note, I fly with keyboard only. No mouse included. People have actually said to me "Hey Heavyguns. What joystick do you use?"
I fly quite well with my keyboard. Much better than I would with a joystick.
