Return of the red name bug!

Well, did a search for this and no one else seems to have mentioned it recently...

Anyway, I just came from a SF server where I noticed something peculiar. Somehow a <TEAM> message had appeared in my chat screen...but it was red! Soon enough a friendly came running by, and lo and behold his name was red too.

So for all of EA's talk of finally "fixing" this damn annoying glitch, it seems it's still around, just maybe not as often as it used to be. Anyone else seen the red name problem since 1.4/1.41?

Yes, but admittedly it is a LOT better since before 1.4. Literally, before 1.4, there would be at least 1 red tagger per server I went on. Now it's a pretty rare occurence, but still annoying as hell. Just not as much.

Generally happens if you have a crappier internet connection or are capped because the information doesn't come through proply. I know i hardly get it, but at the moment i am capped, and i see 1 every second server.

Hmm, interesting. I do know that when that round began it felt a lot laggier than usual, so that could be it.

I'm still shaking off the cobwebs from 5 months of BF2 retirement so generally when I see a red name I pump it full of lead...hopefully I'll be able to tell from the uniforms better soon.

it happens if the person teamswitches at start too.

but i've never seen it in 1.41 and 1.4

I haven't seen it in patches and patches, but unfortunately i came across it the other two weeks.

Well... it was unfortunate for the enemy sniper who was showing up clear as blue on my minimap....

aint seen it since i patched to 1.41, seen a lot more glitches involving bodies in funny positions, headless and so on tho
