It means whether or not you claimed BF2 Veteran Status.

If you played BF2 and signed up for "Veteran Status" you will get a red 2 next to your name.
If your new to the series (or never played BF2) then you won't have access to the little red 2.

What big red 2?
It was on a banner add about a month before 2142 came out. You had to visit EA's Site, and register your Screen name to get veteran status. If you did not play BF2 you were not eligible, but if you did, you should have seen the add on the main screen. If you search EA's site for Veteran Status, I am sure the form is still valid, and if you have a valid BF2 screen name you can probably get it. but not on the account that you have already created for 2142

Dont you guys ever read, you can't sign up anymore for the veteran status! And that veteran status is bogus anyway, I signed up with RDMC2468 and entered for my nickname RDMC..I used RDMC2468 to log in, ten ''create soldier'' entered RDMC and got the message ''This unique nick is allready in use''Muppet1856 wrote:
