What are the best settings for flying with a mouse and keyboard and do you have any good tips??
sensitivity on high so you can do all the funky movements.
Make sure you set your camera controls so you can get to them easily. I set chase cam to G and cockpit to spacebar so that I can switch easily. Other than that the default settings work fine for me, aside from inverting the mouse. (Not that I'm a great pilot or anything, but I don't have control problems with planes and helos)
Put them all on 3.0 sensitivity.bucfan609 wrote:

My tip is to practice until you're good enough to fly over the store and buy a joystick. It's nice to have for helis, but vital for jets.
when im in a jet i use a joystick and mouse as my joystick has no twist but its great for me anyway, i also have a G5 mouse so when im flying the chopper i can change my sensitivity at the touch of a abutton which is good in some situations
Joystick>Keyboard (For jets anyway)

I fly all keyboard....ended up going 9-0 in TWL 2v2 chopper.....I use WASD and the Arrow keys....
In the begining I though that that was what everyone did.

LOL @ the joystick fan boys/girls, news flash it's not a flight sim, it makes fuck all difference what you use it's only what YOU happen to be good with... fucking tossers. Anyway...
I use sensitivity 10 pitch 10 and yaw 10 for helis and around sensitivity 2.5 pitch 1 yaw 1 for planes.
I'm a bit mental in the helis hence the maxed sensitivity settings, just fiddle about for yourself, bung it all on max, if you don't like it then tone it down a bit, trial+error=win.

Pessimist has a point. I use keyboard and mouse for choppers, and my old Microsoft Sidewinder for jets.
Yeah, I use both. I'm that cool.

Have just started to use a joystick. Damn its hard. But at least I dont have to use my arm franticly! Yes I know you can have higher sensitivity, but I got used to having it like that. But a joystick? Damn... even though its hard to use the mg`s for now, its easier to get away from the j10s when I fly the F35B
Gratz you can copy & paste.SteikeTa wrote:

I use default settings and do fairly well.

I use keyboard only - for the heli it's good enough.

You? You're the only one not actually answering the OP's question and generally just being a twat.SteikeTa wrote:

Way to completely change the meaning of my post BTW, well done there.
Tossers = "Joystick poons t3h m+k." No it doesn't, the point I was making and what you wholeheartedly CHOSE to ignore was the fact neither is better, it's what YOU like using that matters.
I'll extend my tossers statement to include juveniles that like quoting people then trying to kick off an argument.
kthxbai.
BTW you spelt genius wrong.
