Yeah. I hate spiders more then anything in the world. But i don't actually know why. Im not really afraid of being bit, but more afraid of them just being on me... gross. Anyways in another thread i saw a lot of people sayin they hate spiders too.

Leave a message about your hatred for them, or if you like them then explain how! lol.

I hate spiders too! Weird, cause I absolutely love snakes (and own one), but hate spiders. I am a very morbid person...but hate spiders. I don't understand it either. I'm not really scared of them, as Major.League.Infidel said, just don't want their nastiness on me.

Its the way their legs move, and the way they rear up their front legs at you if you go near them......also the way no matter how fast you run away from them and dodge them, they still end up on your trouser leg working their way up you to inflict that killer bite!!! euuuugh, my skin is crawling right now.......AHHHHHH WTF SPIDERRRRRRRRR!!!

Well, I live in B.C. (Incase you couldn't have figured that out...)

And there was a spider that was crawling across one of my walls. I get one of my shoes and give it a good whack. The thing is about
|                                                                                     |   from tip of front legs to tip of back legs.
I had to go somewhere (I was in a hurry) and I just left it there so I could clean it up when I had time.

Now... The guts of this thing was all over the wall right? And it's corpse was on the floor below the area where I squished it. I AM NOT KIDDING. When I came back to clean the mess up, the spider was gone. Yes... GONE. I don't know what the HELL happened to it but it wasn't there anymore. I don't know if it was carried off by something else, or if it wasn't dead yet... But if something did haul it away, it must've been fricking huge!

I mean how can you be scared of a little house spider after holding a 6inc tarantula.

My problem with spiders is i know too much about them. i read a lot of "Worlds Most Dangerous" type books, and over the years I've learned to tell the difference between safe spiders and dangerous spiders. Tarantulas aren't dangerous. I'd like to see you pick up a pissed off White-Tip spider and not be scared. Those things cause necrosis.

Im lucky enough to live in the UK, where they are no dangerous spiders, unless they come in to the country in banana boxes.

As for the dangerous ones like the White-tip, your right I wouldn't pick one up or in fact any dangerous spider, no that would be dumb.

But that doesn't mean I would be scared of one, I would just make sure I treated it with respect, as with dealing with any dangerous animal.

It's hard for me not to be scared, considering the fact the White-Tips are LIVING in my room!

I don't even know where they come from, be it the floor, roof, walls... makes it hard to sleep.

Well there no harm in being a bit scared, I should have put this in my past post.

Being Scared keeps you alive. its a reflex from caveman time, be it with snakes, spiders, Tyrannosaur Rex , etc.......

As for your problem have you called in the exterminators yet?

Yeah our continent is pretty fucked up eh? We have backward animals that lay eggs, and spiders and snakes that can kill you by looking at you funny, they're so deadly.

No, because they haven't really appeared much. I've seen (read 'killed') 3 W-tips over the last 3 months, and because that really isn't much when you think about it, my dad hasn't called the exterminator yet, and probably won't.

Plus i have dental work coming up, so i'm not sure if we can afford dentistry costs and extermination fees too.

White-tailed spider

The white-tailed spider, a species indigenous to Australia, has long been blamed for a necrotic bite, producing symptoms similar to a brown recluse. However, recent studies into this spider have led many to believe that its bite produces no serious effects in humans; in particular, necrotic ulcers were not observed. White-tail bites do cause localized pain and lesions. [12] Nonetheless, the white-tailed spider still is rather infamous in Australia, and frequently referred to as a dangerous spider.
by your description, these are the same spiders.

Is there any animal in Australia that isn't dangerous?.

I even heard that you had a breed of poisonous sheep.
