Thinking of getting this computer. Saw it in PC advisor (best sub £1000 PC)

So does anyone if this is a good computer?

And is the company likely to close down and take my money or is it trustworthy?

Thanks in advance,

Peter.

that does actually look pretty good for a pre-built machine.

Is that a Crossfire Motherboard (CONROEXFIRE-ESATA2 Motherboard) with an Nvidia GPU (7950GT)? Seems very strange.

Good Price.

My friend's got a very similiar system, different ram and mobo though. He plays everything high, full aa and all that shit, no lag at all. If you've got the money, go for it.

That I think is the lowest price mobo I think you can get for a C2D. I'm a little leary of Asrock just because they haven't been around nearly as long as the others. The price is good but if possible I would I would reconsider the mobo.

So how much would a decent mobo cost?

Anyone have links to any decent ones? (UK)

I thought ASRock were a dividion of Asus? They've been around quite a while.

It does seem odd to have an nVidia card in a crossfire mobo though.

They have but the are sub managed, it's own entity. Kinda like Dell doesn't run Alienware.  Asus has been around since the late 80's I believe.

Asrock is owned by Asus, it is supposed to be a low budget company.

Never heard of them, but considering they where mentioned as a best sub £1000 then I would expect everything is above board.  ofcourse you cant be sure but it be very suprising.

One of the few I have seen that offer a 'fast' 4GB of ram option.

Yes.

Bought my current PC from them in February this year.

Did take a lot longer than the ten days to deliver than they promised though, but I think I was just unlucky.
