Stats updates have been instant, but about one out of every 10 rounds never posts for me. I immediately do a round after that, and that one posts, as if the "missing" one was just skipped over.


Seems to be an all too frequent event. I've lost about 500 points in the past 2 weeks. Anyone else noticing this or is it just my bad luck? (Random servers btw. Nothing consistent)

hm, I think I have lost some rounds in the same way... but only 1-2 and that was like a month ago....

Are you sure you lost it? Either the server crashed before sending the results, or you've made an observational mistake. It hasn't happened to me, but then again I'm in Australia, maybe it's localised.

Completely positive it wasn't an observational mistake.

Been watching my points like a hawk recently because I just passed the 50k mark.

Like for Example. Order of points acquired

5300 Points

Wake 60 point map + Bronze

5300 Points - No update

Oil Fields 47 point map

5347 Points - Instant Update - Still showing Silver as last medal acquired (which was like an hour earlier)


Server didn't crash at the end, it just seemed to not register the points. As I said, I've had this happen quite a bit, just this is the most recent one I can pull numbers from my head to.

Just seems odd, because it seems to be happening more frequently... and it hasn't been happening on any "one" server. Quite a few random ones, and sporadically between rounds.



EDIT:: I don't want this thread to be taken as a "*tear* my points aren't showing up" . Just it's been happening quite frequently, so I was wondering if anyone else has been having this issue, or if it's just my dumb luck .

yep, that happened to me a couple of times when trying for an award

ie, 40 kills with a kit - get them - no award

next round, yay for me

Ive had it, as have other people. I made 50 kills with assault - no expert kit badge because it didnt log me having even played assault (finished with a gold...apparantly, I had only played engineer...).

Whether that is related to JE3146's problem, I dont know. But it could well be actually.

Next time when it doesnt log a kit properly, or time in a jet/heli whatever on the "Top Scores" screen - check to see if you got those points or not.
Often Ive had like say 80 points as assault, yet the Top Scores screen tells me that someone else with a score of 10 was the best assault player. Bollocks to that!
If it doesnt, then this problem is even bigger than I thought it was - since I have lost a shit load of points if thats the case

The private bug is a bummer. Was plagueing my GF tonight while she was going for veteran support.

Wasn't related to this though. Had my rank displayed. I've also had loads of points updated even with a (false)private rank next to my name. Just never any awards.

Thats not the private bug (his nickname is actually private_adam http://bf2s.com/player/48276372/ ). If you look in that linked screenie, it hasnt logged any of his kits played - despite earning a silver medal. How can you earn a medal without making kills?
The game isnt logging kit selection or vehicle usage properly. Not all the time, but on the odd round. And that may account for your discrepancy with a loss of points (maybe).
What Im saying, is that it may be linked - not logging a kit properly and then you losing your hard earned points as a result.

My apologies for posting before reading. That is really weird.

Though was it happening to him with partial rounds or complete rounds?

Because all mine have been complete round discrepancies.

I cannot speak for him, but certainly for me - Ive seen it happen to me on a LOT of occasions. More than likely complete rounds but I cant remember.

Ive lost out on expert assault and specialist as a result (I had to do it again) and Ive often seen kits and vehicles logged wrong on the top scores, etc.
I had been playing non stop assault for that badge and on many occasions I look on the Top Scores only to see that its wrong and someone with less than half my score as assault was apparantly the top player for the round.
And Ive only seen this since 1.4 and now 1.41. Not on the good ole, bug free 1.3....

But as I say, I dont know whether this affects points being lost or kit times, etc - I just dont check after every round

I've noticed it too, I lost a vet medic combat,gold badge and 87 points once, then more recently 114 points, vet medic, vet anti-tank and heli combat ribbon (or whatever it is called). I got them eventually, along with others....

I am incharge of our clan's server and the provider sent me a message from EA:

"During the last patch (I know, it's been a while) EA has found that some Ranked IP's get deleted from thier database."

Now, Our server was one of these, got it fixed, but still does it once in a while.  Don't know if this answers your question, but it's an explination none the less.

Yes, was losing 1 or 2 games a night for a couple of nights strait. Servers did not crash, games just did not show up.

I've definitely noticed some missing medals, but I'm not sure on the points.  It's been happening to me in the last two weeks (I updated to 1.41 as soon as it came out).

It came to my attention when I had a marathon session of BF2 (about 5 hours).  During that time I lucked out and got 4 golds, 1 silver, and 1 bronze.  But when I checked my bf2s.com stats later that night, my stats only reflected 2 golds and 1 silver, so I missed out on a bronze and 2 golds!  I was bummed!  They still don't show, so I know it's not the update delay lag (it's been 6 days now, obviously they are not coming).

The other thing is I noticed was that I got stabbed at least once, but my knife deaths did not increase, so I suspect that those rounds I did not get the global points either, though I'm not sure.

Just last night I finally got my SF crew ribbon, and it posted (along with my points) just fine.  It seems to be completely random, though most of my rounds seem to be posting fine.   I searched the threads here, and though I found a lot of "missing stats" threads, I couldn't find any answers (until this thread).

Even though earlier in the thread you apologized for posting, I'm glad you did!  : )

Its not a delay though. I'm well aware of delays in stats posting, but this isn't update delays, it's update discrepancies. Read the posts first.

1.41 came as a surprise, so there's really no telling what could be in "store" for the game.

My guess is they'll end around a 1.5 or 1.6. But that's just a hunch..

When I was dedicating myself to building my WLR up I was recording wins, losses, CTDs and server crashes ...ah, the good ol' days of 1.3... for a good couple of months and there were definitely a few rounds here and there that didn't ever register. I was keeping cumulative totals as well as a running tot so they definitely didn't get recorded later in some cases, although there were one or two times when some random server didn't send results for a good 3/4 days.

Don't know about it being more common lately, haven't been keeping watch, but it's possible; I get periods where hit detection is awful for a while, then it's back to normal for a while, with no pattern that I can see related to ping, time of day locally, server load or the specific server.
