After only roughly 18 months of play is the BF2 gaming community finally getting smaller?
My opinion is definitely a YES. From my modest DSL connection at home I see only 300+ servers a night now. Whereas months before BF2142 came out there were routinely over 1000+ available to my DSL connection.
Also it seems that WOW is only getting bigger. Went from 5 million players to roughly 7 million in the last year.

Don't get me wrong... I am a loyal BF2 fan. I love the realistic modern day battle and the chaos that occurs during attacks on a closely fought over flag.
I must admit I have never played WOW. Furthermore, I have not bought BF2142 either.
Am I missing something? Has the mass of the BF2 players community simply just disconnected and started down another fun path of online gaming?
