Thanks for the confirm. I knew that the result is decent, it just felt so weird to watch that 'slideshow of a cputest' and I wanted to know if its just me or others aswell.Kmarion wrote:
Yes, my frames are low on the cpu test as well. A score over 8k is not bad at all.SpaceApollyon wrote:
Kmarion, do you know if its normal for a core2 processor to give 0-1 fps on 3dmark06 CPU tests?
Specs below: 8001 points (no OCing)
................................................................
Asus P5N32-SLI Premium
XFX Geforce 7950GX2
Intel Core 2 E6600
Corsair TWIN2X 2x 1GB DDR2 800MHz
2x Western Digital Caviar SE 250GB SATA II (RAID 1)
Win XP
Right out of the box I just got 8,526 (now remember that's a massive change from 611 )
This thing is amazing, gonna get all my drivers in order, tweak some stuffs & then try again, here's the link if you wanna see my specs: http://service.futuremark.com/orb/resul … ID=7328367
*Edit:* I didn't even realize how smooth the GPU tests were, i thought it was supposed to be all choppy * stuff.

I don't really know shit but I'd say your graphics card. I had an ATI Radeon X600 & it blew ass, yous is only 2 steps up from what mine was so I wouldn't expect much better.{XpLiCiTxX} wrote:

Or more realistically, the R700 and the G90.

Yup. Might as well wait for Intel's 80-core PC while we're at it.Kmarion wrote:
Seems like AMD and ATI fans have been doing alot of "waiting" lately.CrazeD wrote:
Dude, just wait till the R600 comes out and WTFPWNZ the G80...just like ATi has done forever.

If you're getting the same CPU, opt for the 4200+ it's a noticeable difference. 7900GS would be better -- depending on your budget.spray_and_pray wrote:
