Ak's ftw.
AK-101, I don't like the 47 in this game. I choose the G36e over all of them with a few exceptions to the AK-101.
dude it's an AK

Seriously though I know the M16 is more accurate but I can't even seem to hit shit with it, the AK-47 isn't much better but I guess I just got used to it first.

gamewise - ak47>m16
Real life:
M16- more accurate, less power, needs to be cleaned constantly
ak47- more power, less accuracy, but doesn't need as much maintenance

Whats the real difference with the AK-101 and the AK-47?FrankieSpankie3388 wrote:

I know the 101 is full metal and the 47 is Metal and plywood.
And maybe a few accuracy imporvements but what is the difference?

the AK-47 is rated the top gun in the world
Maybe for the assault rifle class, but I bet the .50 cal sniper rifles beat the AK-47 by far.flyboy65 wrote:

Personally, I'll take the G36E any day over the AK or the M-16.
Depends on the map personally, prefer the ak101 on Karkland as theres nothing better close range, G36E if I'm USMC,
On other maps ie. middle to long range fighting I use the G36E as its superb, the M16 is good on single shot, is good over a distance (prob the best) also but feel the 36 is better when on burst.
I've I'm assault I tend to use the F2000 as its available regardless of what side your on and has a good shot damage and I get on better with the reoil compared to other rifles, don't like the sights though. That given I'll use the G3 on faster maps, but find myself getting shot while reloading as you can only really take out 2 maybe 3 enemy per mag! they need to be bigger then it'd be the best rifle.

AK-47 is way better my dad has one and a M-16 the AK is wy more robust and reliable than the M16
Am I the only one that thought this was going to be about real life, seeing as it's in the Junk Drawer and not the BF2 section?
It was also rated the second greatest weapon in the world - losing to the human body.flyboy65 wrote:

the AK-47 is an awesome weapon and wins hands down over the M16.
i mean considering that the AK-47 was developed and produced before and in 1947, while the initial development of the M16 started in 1948 and was finally implemented in 1960 - one would think that the M16 would be superior. but it aint.
AK-47 FTW!
Who here has used either in real life?? maybe a few U.S. ex-military have used the M16 but doubt the AK47 other than familiarisation and those must be less than 5% the total playersHomeschtar wrote:

I don't like either, really. M16 is too heavy, the direct impingement system is too easy to foul, you can't get it wet or dirty or bash it, and while the 5.56mm round is nice, having to strip and clean the thing three times a day no matter what would get tiring.
The AK takes no maintenance, but is kinda hard to get in good quality these days. It's also designed to be accurate up to only 300m, give or take a while, but be usable by conscripts told which end goes bang and thrown out to fight.
And, frankly, everyone's got one. SO last season. Even IF you can use it as a club, table leg, lever, shovel, or a paddle without it going wrong.
However, the AK-74 series corrects the original flaws nicely, and comes in spiffy polymers or stamped steel.
The IMI Galil combines both, but looks a little doinky.
The SA80 is better than the M16, but has a nasty habit of falling apart unless you have one of the expensive newer models.
The G36 is nice, uses the 5.56mm round, and is nice and light and durable while still accurate, but is only sold in carbine form to anyone not german.
Really, the XM8 would come out on top, due to versatility, the 5.56mm round, and being able to switch from PDW to carbine to sniper rifle to LMG without tools.
Sadly, they cancelled it.
Everything else is really just a clone of the M16 or the AK.
But out of the original, the AK47. But I'd still take a more modern version of it if given the chance. The folding-stock variants would definetly be my preference for a zombie infestation.

AK for close quartes stuff, anything over 250m i pick the 'ol Lee Enfield, or possibly the Bren gun (i love .303 ammo, blows holes in pretty much anything)
