Whenever I switch BF2 or BF2142 to the X-Fi option(I have one now), the game crashes. Yes, it is set to gaming mode.
Please help me, this is very frustrating.
FUCK, now the sound doesn't work at all. I was trying to see if I could get my microphone plugged in at the same time as my analog speakers in the slot next to them. It froze so I restarted the computer and now the sound doesn't come out of the analog port.
Anyone?
Did you install the drivers for the sound card?
Last time I messed around with my sound settings I got the same thing. Froze so I restarted, no sound on restart, restarted again & it was ok.

Yes, I installed the drivers. A simple uninstall and reinstallation fixed the sound. The fact still remains that I can't get it to play on Ultra High because the game crashes whenever I hit apply while it is on that setting. Can somebody help me with that?
There is a patch on their website available that allows you to set it ultra high.That should fix your problem.Search for version 1.0.0.1 I hope it helps good luck. Asus A8 Board?
