Why? Because that's what 99% of the posts here are now. A well-meaning thread turns into "L0MG 2142 IS TEH SUX BCUZ I R T3H L33T BF@ PWN3RIZERGENERALZLOLOLOL!@!!1!11`" by the second page. Most topics turn into that by the first post, the OP apparently having absolutely 0 regard that these forums could have some semblance of actual discussion on them (shock horror gasp).

For the millionth time. If all you're going to do is say "zomg 2142 sux", get out of this section. Don't like it > don't post and save yourself from the 60-second flood control. Perhaps in those 60 seconds you could go to another thread and actually help someone/present a valid argument/do something useful. If you find yourself utterly incapable of doing any one of those things, ever, do something stupid and get yourself permabanned.

And please, for the love of all that is holy, if you've never played it, don't make judgements on it. This is how you will sound:

And please, for the love of all that is holy, unholy, and semi-holy, stop with the "bf2142 is teh buggy" crap. So your precious BF2 isn't? Take a look at 1.2. And yes, I'm going to compare it to whatever patch I want. Is BF2142 in what is widely assumed to be its final patch? No. Was 1.2 widely assumed to be the final BF2 patch? Of course not. So yes, I'm going to compare them all I want. Accuse me of being biased in my comparison, whatever. That's probably what you would do, except in the other direction, and you'd hope that I'd ignore it.

Most of these post come from people who hate to see their hard fought for rank (status) within BF2 become obsolete because everyone is playing with the new kid in the street, and thus themselves become discarded.
or they come from people who haven't got the funds to buy BF2142 and thus pick on the boy's and girls who do have new toys.

So in short the 2142 section doesn't need to be renamed, because renaming it will let the bullies win, and give them a basis to heckle another edition of the game.

I have not played it. Some clanmates have though. Overall with the guys who have played that I know, its about 50/50 ratio of who likes it and who doesn't. Alot of what I've heard of people shitting on it is due to thier poor system. I am still holding off. I like BF2 and its good enough for me for now.

I agree with OP about passing judgement before playing it.

If it wasn't for titan mode I'd be talking shit about the game too. But Titan rocks and is the reason I haven't gone back to bf2. Conquest mode sux balls, though.

whaaaa? Conquest is waay better than titan IMO, conquest takes more skill and strategy than titan mode and the new city maps rock.

Please explain to me how Titan mode takes less skill when you need to keep track of Titan guns, Tickets and your own Titan HP and all the consoles inside it?

Seriously Conquest is like Capture the flag, there is no real skill in it than just take the flags that no one guard. Or guard some of the popular ones with some people.

Still getting into the core when it's heavily defended is a big pain and most of the time the Silos are the one doing the job what I have seen.
Oh and somehow forgot that there where no tickets. >.>

But still it need more tactics to win faster unlike Conquest. No teamwork on Titan mode and you won't be coming into the consoles/core rooms for a long time.

Read the whole part.

Titan mode need more tactics and team work to win faster. In conquest it's just to hold the flags and fend of the enemy for a while then take another one. On some maps you only need to hold the first one and make sure no one gets past which rarely happen. Throwing out loller mines solve most problems on some maps to. As they will destroy the vehicle trying to drive by.

Also when the shield is down on the Titan you need more teamwork in order to get past their defence. In Conquest you get a tank or a walker and that will solve most problems.

Dont mean to piss you off but, quite frankly I'm sick of seeing constant 2142 threads now, and less and less threads about bf2. A new game came out, go to a new fucking forum. And no, only about 2 out of every 30 people in here type how you decribed (talking about the gay imited leet speak you use). I miss the times before 2142 where people would talk about bf2. Now its all, "Omg, which unlock for 2142 should I use", or "Titan mode" this or that, or my personal favorite, "Wtf new bf2142 stat pad found".....2142 this 2142 that, stfu. Go find a 2142 forum so you can stop whining about how people bash 2142, because after all, this IS a bf2 forum. Dont argue back either, until this site gets its name changed to "Bf2s/Bf2142s.com", I suggest leaving if you want to talk about 2142.

Dont think I mentioned either:

Bf2142 sucks
1. Its a mod for bf2
2. Theres no planes
3. Futuristic combat sucks.

I also hate bf2142 because Dice took away things from bf2 for all of us. I used to enjoy playing bf2 (which I still do now, but not as much), but now a lot of good people I liked/good servers I like have left and shut down to move onto a game. They only gave bf2 players 1 year to play the game before making a new one with the same exact engine.

I have various other reasons to state why I and other people dont like bf2142, but I wont type them.

Dont like this? Go to a 2142 forum where most people like the game.
