Game crashing and patch problems

I know a lot of people have problems with this but i havent been able to find anything to fix it. My mate had this for ages, where everytime a new map is loaded the game crashes, sometimes a new round and sometimes just randomly. I guess what goes around comes around because as i sat back and laughed my arse off at his unfortune, while i could happily play without it ever crashing, the new patch brought a whole new anger into my life. I installed the new patch and all was working fine, until a new map loaded - my game crashed. I thought nothing of it, a minor glitch. Then again, round finishes game crashed. This is now the normailty and i can now understand why my mate got so annoyed. I know this applies to many MANY others, but i wondered if anybody could offer any help on the matter.

as i just stated in another thread, i get CTD's all the time since the patch (during a round though, not when a map loads or round finishes), whereas I used to only get them infrequentely. No idea what the problem is...

What kind of video card? I had this issue with the catalyst control center. I removed it and use the old style control panel and no more crashes.

i cant even joina server, invalid cd-key. i re entered my cd key, still wont work.

hmmm... i've got a radeon 9550, with teh control center... i'll try that, thanks for the tip.

I have an rx800pro and i was the guy he was talking about. It is really annoying how i can only play for so long and the game would crash. It would always happen at a crucial point in a match and my entire computer would crash. I am beginning to suspect it isn't the computer but just the game seeing as how so many people have the same problems.

I have a X600 Pro and ya the GPU would crash the whole game because the graphics card seems to overheat from playing BF2, at the same time, after I recovered my OS, the crashes never happened ever again. I think, for my case, is not the Catalyst Control Center's problem but with heat. i use a wireless internet connection and i get lagged very much in games. Even since I installed the patch the cases of these lags for me got even higher. *Sigh*

has anybody else been getting kicked from games for NO PACKET FLOW i havent a clue whats going on i have broadband connection generaly fast enough. this has only started to happen scince i put the new patch on can anyone help me with this its driving me mad

I kept getting the same problem, everytime a new round started I would be kicked.Sometimes it would say No packet flow, other times for excessive team kills, when I did not have a single team kill in the previous round. So I turned all my graphics settings down to lowest, my music off, audio to low (software) and VOIP off. Which solved the problem and also reduced my verifying client data from 5 minutes to 5 seconds Gonna try turning things back up one at a time to determine what was causing the problem, but think it's down to the audio settings, as I always had music on before and always had high verifying times.

im on a radeon 9600. The crashes to the desktop come randomly and are very strange. But eh, thats when i stop playing usually - helps my addiction.

i hav a radeon 850pro. i have the same problem.. i have this for ages and its getting on my nerves:@
ive mailed EA about it they said i sould run the game on 1 cpu instead of 2 cpu's but after that i had no difference..

can someone help me. or do i hav to set the grafix to low and turn it up slowly to see what is the problem?
