Starting to grow tired of 2142 I recently picked up WoW (World of Warcraft) being fully aware of the addiction, pured-hatred some have toward it, and the type of gameplay change from BF2.
What i did'nt know was the difference in the community atmosphere, how helpful some are, how freely some give thier time and the secure feeling that you have if you are unaware what to do, buy, sell, trade that you feel no hesitation in asking just about anyone.
Ex. I want to know where to get a fishing rod....
2tuff: Hey bro, you know where i can pick up a fishing rod? Im kinda a noob.
Jarad: Yeah, just head up this road and there is a house off to the left....you need an escort?
2tuff: Oh sweet thanks, naa i think i'll take it myself...thanks for helping a noob-in-need
Jarad: Anytime, we were all there once.
I know within BF2s it is very obvious the lack of helpfullness, respect that people have for one another in BF2, but i was just sooo surprised at how I (and others) were treated time and time agian in WoW. It really is a different feeling and it is a perfect example of:
"What comes around goes around" because i can garentee I will be there if a new player is in need of assistance in the future.
Just thought I'd point out what different types of communities that are out there, you too would be surprised at what you find. Especially coming from the shit-faced community of BF2.
