I make it part of play my goal (meaning I try to ensure my playing is leading towards multiple awards).
I find it drives me to do different things.
If a time req is met, I make sure to get IAR reqs knocked out as quick as possible.

Well, I only really go for combat pin, titan destruction pin and when I am on Gibraltar that head shot pin. But I mostly play for fun, I am much better on BF2 than 2142.

The badges are fun to get and give you a goal. Though my goal is to get the gold medal as much as possible and piss people off by killing them to much. XD Pissed of few people so far.
at first I just played for fun - its a fun game - and took whatever pins just popped up.
Now i go for them more and i got my first veteran badge, only just relised now that it's why my points went shooting up- 2 ranks in 1

badges, pins, meadals, ribbions, almost got them all, they need some more, the only one i am having trouble with is the tranporter one to the titan, i could have got it when there was a bug, but i dont do that shit it suuuucks

Just get a transport during a titan game and hover above the titan for people to spawn on. You still get the points when players pod out onto the titan... you just don't get points for changing seats anymore. Transporter pin is an easy one.Rubix-Cubes wrote:

I play just to play. The BF series games are very fun and they're the only online games that I play. However, I did gear myself more towards getting awards, etc. in 2142 for the simple reason of ranks so I could get some more unlocks. But now it's back to playing for fun. Awards, I just don't really care about them.
Well awards are the only think keeping me playing really. As im a brig now. So i play to get the last of the golds. (the ones i know i can get, so stuff flying) And also to try and keep my #1 Position for commanding in Aus and NZ.
I have most of the ribbons. Just need to get my total time up and i might have most of them. I've got the 10hrs in titian guns. And i havn't managed to get the 15 kills. The bs thing is that i've got it twice while i was working towards my 10hours. got it 2 rounds in a row. Shit that pissed me off.

i go for badges but i try to have when doing it, why just today i got my vet support....by spawnkilling...but it was fun
not usualy but the bronze transpot ,flying machiene and tank badge i did i play suez chanal and brove around by the train station 4 a wile in titan mode
