I agree with the Asus 775 Mobo. IMO Asus is the way to go.

It all looks alright to me...
You have to post the BF2 FPS you get if this is what you're putting together though.

Uhm... With all that stuff you're planning to buy - wouldn't a high-end mobo be more appropriate?
(And so far, there are not many serious concerns about nForce 680 mobos - although there are warnings...)

Yea I guess it would, though a case is more important right now...

Never heard of that PSU, PowerTek. Can't find much about them on the web, guess you'll have to be a guinea pig.

Spending all that moolah on a PC and cheaping out on the keyboard and mouse? Get a G15 or G11 and a MX518.

Need a case? Take a look at the Antec Nine Hundred or ThermalTake Armor

what's up money pants!!!  personally i'd go with a modular cable psu, to keep clutter down by using only the cables you need.  and it does pack enough punch, but i'd be weary as it only has 2 reviews.  but that's just me.  you want 4gb of ram?  isn't that overkill right now?  i think 2gb is all you need, especially for bf2.  but what ever floats your boat.  good luck with the build.

i forgot to look at your monitor.  you could find a better 19" out there with a faster response time.  i got a hanns-g 19" widescreen with a 5ms response time for only $180.  i got it when it had free shipping.  get at least a 5ms response time monitor.

If you're spending that much on a processor and graphics card then you certainly don't need to buy a low-end motherboard that will dwarf your performance. My personal thought is that you need to choose a new motherboard and a new monitor. An 8ms LCD monitor used for gaming isn't going to be that great, especially considering that the monitor you chose isn't geared towards gaming at all. Again, why dwarf performance on a high-end system with a low-end LCD? Step it up to the ViewSonic 2ms or a Samsung 5ms. I might also invest in a quality headset with true 5.1 surround. I would highly recommend the headset made by Tritton Technologies because they're digital surround with 4 speakers per earphone, and they have a fiber optic hookup (which your soundcard supports). The sound will blow you away, trust me.

Well that mouse is good for playing Solitaire, but not much else. A good mouse and keyboard can make the difference in gaming, it's not just about looks or feel.

The four parts I dont know a whole lot about are motherboards, cases, monitors, CD/DVD drives.

Im going for 4GB of RAM, soon as Vista comes out its gonna be worth it, and anyways, Im not planing on having BF2 as the only game I play.

If your spending that much on GFX / CPU get a bigger monitor to show it off on... maybe only 2GB RAM to save cash?

19in is all I want, 4GB of RAM is staying, instead of just giving out ideas, mind links...Im a ittle stupid about some of this stuff.

Wouldnt it be a better Idea to go for 2GB of RAM in the mean time then adding the other 2 at a later time (it's what I am doing anyway) or how about a faster RAM up to 1066mhz, might as well if your droping that much cash.  Again I don't see the point in the Quad core either, E6800 is the better gaming chip (see any proper benchmarks), overclocking an E6600 to 3.3Ghz per core and your saving your self a shit load of cash, and see little to NO performance drop what so ever, since quad core is not being utilized.  Nor is dual to be honest as of yet (especially video games) save on that CPU and get a E6600 the now, then get quad at a later date, when much superior chips are available, and it becomes sort of worth it.  $1000 on a CPU that cant run any better than a $300 is ludacris unless you have more money than GOD!

Also, theres no point in getting a 8800GTX if you are only coupling it to a 19'', might as well go for the GTS (even then it is major overkill) or by march 07 there are lesser cards again, 8600 etc.  This display has the fastest responce times on the market

19'' but again, its not worth having the 8800 is its just this going in, how about two of em ?

From what I have seen the response time of the keyboard and mouse is not noticiable really to me. But I got a good keyboard and mouse on the last now happy?
Heres a monitor, how does it look: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6824254009

Also for the motherboard, I cant find any nForce mobos on NewEgg.
Im back to ASUS motherboards, what would be the opinion on this one? http://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/Sho … 6813131030

Im actually not planing on over clocking(at least right now), I have no problems assembling computers(done it twice already, very easy) though the BIOS and stuff seems a little over my head.

Understandable, there not exactly unmissable on that site but meh :S  The problems with these boards have been resolved so anything you read about them saying dont buy is probably out of date.  I got this one the other day (though my machine isnt ready) and am putting it in a friends machine tommorow to see how it runs, let you know how it goes!

Like Bell said, quad core is a big waste.  Get a E6600, 6700, or 6800.

And heres a real good monitor

Once again, as far as monitors are concerned, I have to bring the LG 1970HR into discussion. It simply rocks - as it's a TN Panel, the viewing angles suck (about 140/140) but the contrast ratio is 'uber' (über) 2000:1 with dynamic peaks of over 2500:1 yay

Im only saving like 100$ going for a E6800 last I saw. Doesnt really make sense to me.

Yes but the 6800 is faster then the quad.
