Is there any way to record a game online without the server actually recording the game for u to watch on battlerecorder? Is there anyway to just record a game and play it on media player or something? I have a capture card, is there anyway i can use that to record me playing? Also if battlerecorder is the only way to record a game how can i play the recording on media player instead of the actual game?

If anyone can answer these questions i thank you! If not thanks for your time spent trying to help. I appreciate it!

FRAPS 2.5.5 is the latest version.

I'm not sure about now, but the trial for FRAPS 2.0 was limited to half size 15 second movies by 15 second intervals, and had annoying watermarks. I have the full version and I think they've changed the trial limitations now so try it first.

Set it to record to a specific folder, press the specified button. You'll notice a sharp drop in FPS, but it'll pick up a bit after a sec or two, but'll still be quite laggy. Be warned though, after pressing the button again the video will be saved but in a nasty little uncompressed standard RGB .avi. Think a few hundred to a thousand or so bitmaps. Not fun. Will lag up almost any media player you try, and'll take up a load of space.

Open with your favorite video compressor/editing program such as VirtualDub, and codec it so that it takes up >much< less space and time to play. It's as curteous as putting a .jpeg in BBCode and not a .bmp.
