Guys I know full well all the usual "SEARCH" posts are coming so if anyone can post me a answer or a link to a answer I'll read it and delete my post.

I applied to the veterans thing for 2142, reserving the soldier name I wanted, I've tried logging in as it to no success, and when I tried to start a account with the name it said it was already in use.

I've tried logging in with my EA account details.

I've started using a alternative name but I'm only on like 6hrs playing so I'd like to get my original choice of name, I've search on stats sites etc and can't find the name I wanted, could it being showing as used as I reserved it??.

Basically can I get the name or will I have to make do with my new one???.

I know there will be afew of you that know the answer to this.

were you using the demo? as it deosn't count, the demo, you only get it if you are using the full.

When you log in with your EA account details - the ones you used when registering for the veterans program - it should recognise that you're a veteran.  It will dump you at the Soldier Name screen, and should show you the names associated with your EA account.  This should include your reserved name.

After selecting the soldier, you go through to the BF2142 browser and if it's the first time using a new soldier, you will be presented with an automatic promotion and unlock.  If this didn't happen, you probably have more than one EA account and you're using the wrong one.

Its the full game mate.

First few time's I tried to log in as the name I reserved, then I got fed up and made a new name.

Just wondered if I can retreve the name I reserved or is it gone for good.

I tried logging in using my EA username etc and I ended up with a soldier by that name.

I have gone onto EA's site and logged in there with my EA details no problems.

However when I log onto EA's site the box opens saying select a soldier, and there's no names in it, but I know thats the account name I used as its my only EA account name.

I think the veterans program is closed now!  If you did not sign up for before the first month 2142 was out your probably out of luck.

oh rite thats a arse then, does that mean the username can't be used by anyone then, or will someone else have it by now. As I can't find anyone on any stats pages with the name.
