A couple of days ago I joined a server, punkbuster on, ranked on and I spawned at the square as MERC while the game was already in progrees. 

I immediately looked to the right  towards the right most road coming from the hotel and I saw someone hoping along with open arms (!) no weapon.   He did that for 2-3 seconds and then pulled back behind the corner.  Obviously, out of curiousity I went closer to have another look. Again he was hoping around like a dummy with open arms. I started unloading on him and then the next thing I know I am dead. His arms never closed or any weapons showed up.  From what I can vaguely remember the fire reflection came from about his torso. 

I wish I had taken a screenshot but I was so surprised...   Has anyone ever seen that on a ranked server?  I was sick with the cheating so I went to a different server and played for a couple of hours.   I should have at least wrote down his name.

It's not a hack, it's a revive bug and it happens frequently.  It won't be the last time you see it.  Just remember that he really DOES have a gun, but the graphical representation is skewed.

Its just a glitch...not a hack or anything....blame dice for this one.

Well the fact that I unloaded on him and it did not phase him any made me believe that it was a setup on his part.  I was playing medic and we were very close to each other. 

I run up to him and stared at him for 1-2 seconds because it freaked me out, then I unloaded for a good 1-2 sec and then bang bang bang and I was dead!

If it really was a rendering problem the enemy would not have allowed me to get close to him have a look at him and shoot at him without any reaction.  Also, how about the hoping in the middle of the street and then the cover and then again hoping?  It looked like a luring technique to me.  Everything is possible but ....

I hate to be obtuse, but you simply got owned by a graphically glitched player.

@petropete: its a glitch, it will happen to you sometime (mostly without you noticing it, unless you are on a teamspeak playing with somebody)

I hate to be obtuse, but you simply got owned by a graphically glitched player.
Bummer, it's one thing to get owned but getting owned from a glitch .. that's pretty bad! lol
