Pick one for me . 6400 is about AUD $30 more, which one is better performance wise?
Its for a gaming computer, mainly.

E6400.
I've got my E6300 clocked to X6800 performance levels (way beyond FX-62 performance). You need a decent motherboard and fan to do so though. I highly recommend the 680i chipset (650i if on a budget) and the Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 7 fan.Cheez wrote:
There have been cases when they've overclocked the 6300 to near or over 6700 performance. You could save a couple bucks there. Even so the 6400 is faster than the 4600+ a la so.

Definatly the E6400 way more powerful and if you overclock even more so.
But yep if you want to run SLI then you are definatly better off getting the new 680 chipset which are very expencive but to say there are no motherboards is definatly way off the mark if you dont mind running with the intel 965 chipset you can get a good MOBO for like £60.
Or get a 650i SLI chipset! Wait - no, they don't supoort 16x/16x.PFC Eva[75thR] wrote:
