i did try this in the Junk Drawer but no luck

i have recently bought paint shop pro 11 and when installing it does a "stop error" when you get the blue screen and memory dump. it mentions something about a driver being the problem

can anyone clear this up for me,
thanks

right-click "my computer">properties>hardware>device manager.  if you see any yellow question marks on the list you have out of date drivers.  i don't know what would be the problem as far as installing software though.  how old is your disk drive?  is your disk scratched?

Next time it does it, get the 0x00000000 code. Its there for a reason.

Well it looks like a Hardware incompatibility. Do you have Service Pack 2 (Control Panel > System)? Another thing you could do is update your drivers, particularly chipset drivers. A reinstall of PSP may also help if you haven't already.
