BF2S Forums G15 macros in BF2/2142

Hum, if you tell your G15 to be that macro something like "j blablabla enter" why should it block it?
I know, that's a noob question, since I don't understand how macros by the G15 can be blocked and macros for soloing can't...

They worked initially. I don't know if it was a patch that stopped it or what. I haven't tried again recently.

There's a TS applet?  That's good to hear, I'll be downloading it as soon as I get home.  It really sucks having to either play in windowed mode or try to guess who's talking.

The TS applet is 90% of the reason I got the G15 too
And the chat macros still work, I use them to do about the same thing. I'm pretty sure they blocked dolphin diving & stuff like that but you can still do what your asking.

*Edit:* actually don't listen to me just yet, I just realized I use my n52 to do chat macros. Gimme 2 seconds though & I'll go try them out with the G15 (although I doubt there would be any difference).

*Edit2:* k nevermind what I say they don't work. I swear I was just using chat macros like a week ago but the G15 & n52 both can't get past the first letter, even when I put like 2 second delays in between each letter

*Edit:* ok i don't know...I think they just added a delay or something so you can't to the prone spamming thing. I can't get any chat macros to work with the G15 but I can get some simple ones to work (like rotating vehicle positions for instance) with an added delay. My G15 software is actin kinda gimpy atm though so that could be it.

Wasn't that included in the 1.10 patch? Unfortunately it doesn't solve whether you can easily send a lont text string.

I use a G15 but haven't utilized the macros for BF2/2142 yet.

I had one working awhile go for BF2. You have to tick "record delays" or something like that. Then just insert a time delay of like .50 seconds in between every button press

Not trying to derail the thread at all but if anyone wants the Teamspeak mod and I can't see why anyone that uses TS wouldn't want it, this is the place to get it:

I downloaded it last night and it works a treat.  Had it running while on the BF2S EU server and it was so cool to see who was talking so now I've put names to voices and don't need to run that stupid windowed mode.

Back on topic: It's a pity you can't have that message keyed up as a macro.  Have you tried cut/paste to get the message in?  I doubt it will work since CTRL and V are assigned to other things but it may be worth a go.

I don't see why they wouldn't work, I have a couple of message macros on my Razer Tarantula keyboard, it's basically the same thing you're trying to do.

i dont know about 2142 but in plain bf2 they DO work
