does anyone know if battlefield is running under windows 2000?

i see intro, can create account. but when i try to use one of my created soldiers the game crashes to the desktop.

I'm pretty sure the box says BF2142 requires Windows XP, but then so did BF2 IIRC and that runs on 2000 apparently.

Try EA support......... no I'm sorry, I couldn't keep a straight face while saying that.

don´t tell me to use ea support. you just get nonsense answers and if not they can not solve your problem.

this leaves me with 2 choices:
1. buy xp
2. or return bf2142

choice 1 is expensive and i do not trust this xp versions sold on ebay.

choice 2 is no real choice, because i wanna PLAY. EA, you listening?

Having installed BF2142 and registered using the code you may struggle to return it based on the fact that you do not meet the basic requirements as stated.

Buying XP may very well be your only option if you want to play 2142. An OEM version of XP isn't too expensive, you may be able to find a store that will sell you one.
