The downsite on that car is, that there has to be alot of gasstations along your road, if you want to go pedal to the metal:p^*AlphA*^ wrote:
why wouldn't it ?, even the Bugatti Veyron is legal here, 401km/h top speed
nah id rather have a a pure american classic....a 1967 Shelby GT500
I love the carrera gt. its legal here and i know a dude with one. sounds like an f1 car
i havent seen a GT yet, when I went to florida the only thing i saw was Aston Martins, Rolls-Royces, and Bentleys. Japan had so many Mercedes-Benz's...you look at every corner there wouold be at least one Mercedes-Benz.
yes, my uncle has a carrera gt. as well as 2 other porsches. they are most definitely legal in the US, and the most incredible car ive ever ridden in. drawback = carbon-fiber frame. if you crash, your toast.
Congratulations, you've got an 911. Just like everybody else.
mmm.. dont like it
not everyone has one...Skorpy-chan wrote:

Not a fan of the 911 styling, the carera's look a bit girly and the Turbo/GT2/GT3s look like boy racer car's. Isnt that GT3 the striped out track day car? Your in for a rough ride :S I am much more a style man my self, for the same price you could get a Jaguar XKR, or even a dam Aston Martin V8 Vantage. Cant beat an Aston. Infact if I was spending that cash I would have this thing :

Cls-55, or I think they replaced it with the CLS-63 AMG, either what that thing is one of the best car's ever made, the looks of a coupe, and the space of a sedan/saloon with like 500BHP, can destroy most purpose built sports cars, WHAT MORE U WANT!?

Congratulations on your new wheels man. I've never been a fan of Porsches, more of a big engine, American Muscle Car kind of guy myself, but thats not the point. You'll love to drive it. Congrats.
Post pics with you in/ pictures of it.

But, the Bugatti Veyron (i think thats the name) owns that
16, it's two 4.0 V8's put together to make an 8.0W16 (dual core FTW!) and then quad turbo charged, 1001BHP, the thing owns F1 car's on the right track!_j5689_ wrote:

It's a heavy car so that 1001BHP isnt quite as spectacular as you might think, the critical figure for car's grunt is bhp per ton, Ford Gt's manage 350BHP per ton and ofcourse the torque. Veyron is very nearly 2 tons, so the bhp/ton is about 5-600, but when I say not as spectacular as you 'may' think, 0-60 in 2.5 seconds and beating a mclaren F1 to 200mph even if it is already doing 120mph is some SERIOUS grunt.
Still that GT3 the thread creator has is a very light car, so the surge in acceleration from it should be satasfying to say the least!

Cool Car!!!
sweet 8 pound 6 ounce baby jesusit revs with ease as high as 8,400 rpm
the stick on it looks so awesome, better than my civic.
Hawt.
I drove one of those when they first entered the country.... I forget the year, but there were 500 that entered the US when they were first released.... 2002 or 2003 I beleive.
Was a wash boy for a Porsche dealership . Nothing exciting, but I saw all the new models. They received 4 of them at that dealership. All were spoken for, and I got to drive 2 of em. Also got to drive the new Audi RS6 when it was first released, as well as the A8.
No offense but the GT3 was the lame retarded kid of the bunch when it came to the luxury aspect of owning one of those beasts. Was stripped out, had no back seats, and a skimped out stereo system. Cheaper sticker price, but you got what you paid for, a light chasis and an engine. That be it. I'm sure its fun in highspeed, but I never got it out of 1st gear.... parking lot was too damn short .

Nice car, just a shame you have to explain to your date/female associate why there is scaffolding in the back.
