Tried windows media player?
Just tried them after I downloaded DivX. At least i'm getting somewhere because I can hear audio but no video plays.
DivX has nothing to do with DVD playback..._j5689_ wrote:

go try "Nero Showtime" from www.nero.com and see if that works for you.
www.videohelp.com will have ALL the software and guides you need to resolve your issue
Dont mean to insult your inteligence but you did click the 'now playing' tab yes? Is the DVD your playing the same region set in media player?
Strange to get no picture

You need some kind of DVD decoder, but they're not free (except if you download them from torrent )
You could also try VLC if it plays them or get CyberLink PowerDVD from somewhere
