how can i unpatch bf2 without a complete reinstall i want to go back to 1.2 so i can dolphin dive

Yea, you just have to have 2 copies of the game, one is patched to 1.12 or whatever, one with the latest 1.41

Yep, easy. You can have more than two too. The patches don't ask us to pick a directory they're applied to so you know if you run any of them they'll work only on the original installation location.RDMC(2) wrote:

So:
Install the game, copy the installation to a new location.
Run the full 1.12 patch then rename the folder to BF2 1.12, move it to a new location (Games, Program Files or whatever you like).
Then move the copy of the basic installation back to the original location. Run the full 1.41 patch and you're done.

Its reallly easy like others have said, all i did.
Install BF2 (+ SF) - This auto patches to 1.1 (i think).
Now patch to 1.12 (or whatever you want).
Copy your C:\Programme Files\ EA Games\ Battlefield 2 folder
and paste it to the same place.
So now you have 2 bf2 folders patched to 1.12 (or whatever), one called "Battlefield 2", the other called " Copy of Battlefield 2".
Rename Copy of Battlefield 2 to "Battlefield 2 (1.12)" - or whatever you want.
Install 1.41.
This will only patch the "Battlefield 2" folder, so rename that after to "Battlefield 2 (1.41)"
Then just copy 2 short cuts to each bf2.exe
easy!
what's the point? Am I correct in assuming that a server patched to 1.41 won't allow you to join unless your using the same patch?
