The budget is not £1000 and no it doesnt

Like i say if im spending near a £1000 id rather spend alot more and get the best of the best. I dont want to spend like £3000 but £2000 would be alright

E6700 drop to E6600, the price/performance isnt worth it, OC ur E6600 like mine to 3.3Ghz and buy sweets with what you save .  Do u really need that much HD space?  8800GTS would suffice just fine also btw (afterall it is the second best card out there) but then who wants that 8-)  You will need 4GB for vista, rest is fine so yea that looks good mate.

Must be some shops around who will surely.  Look in yellow pages or something there has to be!  Guy said he would build mine for £40, but I just did it myself, I broke a mobo but got the rest right

Building your own vs buying somewhere doesn't really save you that much anymore.

When I started building PC's 12 years ago it was a different story but now Dell and companies like that are getting damn low.  Catch them on a day with a coupon deal or something.  As well, for somebody who doesn't know much about PC's that warranty could be a life saver.

Or do what I do.  I buy all my parts at a local shop and then just pay them 20 bucks to build it for me.  I am more than capable of building a PC but I am just lazy and the 20 bucks is well worth it to me.

Easy answer:

If you want the "Best of the Best" but don't want to build your own...go to Alienware and let them build one for you and you decide what you'll have for whatever your budget can afford.  Dell also has some decent gaming options and you can sort of build it the way you want it, but doesn't really hold a candle to Alienware.  Anyway, just some options to get what you want and have some cost control, without having to physically build it yourself.

The website im using ends up ALOT cheaper than alienware and dell.

Is the Quad core really worth all that money?
