ok so i cant crouch and when i assign it to control button it just doesnt save it after i press escape again to get back into game. whats rong??
Delete the control setting file, then repair the game and see if that works.
If that doesn't work, reinstall the game

If you are setting it to the \ key, it'll appear as the < key unless you change your keyboard to UK layout (at least for me, anyway)
