Ok...Im starting off with a 7600GT, 2 GB DDR2 PC6400 RAM, E6400, 700watt power supply or so...

Anyways this computer will be Intel and Nvidia for pretty much ever...anyways I want the mobo to be able to be upgraded, I wanna be able to take at least quad core eventually, I dont want to have to upgrade the PSU, things like that. I wanna keep this computer under 1200...Ill be lucky if I get that....parents just emptied my life savings from my bank cause they got pissed  so all I have is what I am earning now working and what I have hidden. Anyways this is a economical computer that I wanna get everything I can out of, will upgrade once I get the chance and I want to have that ability....

*Edit*
About the PSU, I do not want to have to upgrade that and I want it to have the capability of running a gaming computer with ONE video card for the next 2 to 3 years. What is the minimum I could get. I dont want to take the chance of frying stuff but I dont wanna go overboard for no reason.

If you'll never run SLI/Crossfire, even a 500W PSU does the job (should be ATX2.2 though!).

And well... The only thing I can personally recommend to you is to wait with that new pc until Vista is out.
The low-end 8series by nVidia, supporting DX10, of course, will blast away any 7600GT and maybe even be a little cheaper.

Get a nice MB. Go for 680i or a 650i if your planning on nvidia cards, they're much better for overclocking them (due to linkboost etc.). 700W PSU is overkill, I'm running a 520W with my 8800 GTS and it's plenty. If you're trying to save a bit of cash the performance gap between the 6300 and 6400 is very small and both have very simillar overclocking potential. A 6300 with a big fan would be a better (and cheaper) performer than a 6400 with stock cooling.

Alright, all I want is a computer that I can play on, right now Im sitting on here and it struggles to play CSS. I want the ability to upgrade though, easily, as that is what I plan to do.

I am custom building. Max price is 1200 but the cheaper the better, the only thing Im worried about now is:

1. PCI E x16 video card slots
2. Room for at least 8GB DDR2 RAM(starting off with 2Gb now)
3. Nvidia vid card(thats PCI E x16
4. One 7200 RPM hard drive( for a lot of storage)
5. One 10,000 RPM hard drive
6. Intel Quad Core capable motherboard. I want Dual Core right now
