I just bought a dual core X2 4200+ and haven't been able to use it yet.  Now I'm going to kill you.

After all the money you waste you still get less L1 cache than a 4200+ x2

dude, I saw the 3DMark score & was like "eww that's lame, I get better than that at stock speeds with my AMD 4600 & 8800GTX" & then I saw it was just the CPU score.....and then I cried with my AMD 4600 & 8800GTX...

*Edit:* why did they block out the clock speed?

I spent 4 grand on my computer.  now, its worth 50$.  My computer is one year old.   Computer technology outdates fast, of course, but lately, its getting out of hand.   I'm just gonna wait the boom out and buy when things slow up a bit.

8-core is so 90 seconds old.  I hear, in five minutes, thier gonna make a 16 core processor, but in about three hours, thier gonna release thier 30 core processor. Tommorrow morning, The new Fusion Powered PSU is coming out....

Yes.

On an FX-51. It played games very well.

Anyway, unregistered ECC RAM doesn't give the same performance hit.

I give up, there's no way to keep up with technology.

All I'm doin in the future is buying an 8800, and that's it. I don't need none of this quad-core and 8-core crap. Waste of money (right now it is at least)

I'n 10 years, 8-cores will be the norm, and there will be Nvidia 10,000's. It's just too much.

10 years? Try 2. In 10 years we'll probably be using nano technology for computing.
