Recently I logged in to play a couple of rounds of BF2142 on a local EA Thailand server (where I live).  I got to the end of the round and saw that I was awarded over 2600 career points from awards that I had previously been awarded.  It was then that I noticed that my rank was incorrect.

I logged in and out of the game and into a couple of other thai servers (accessing the servers outside of thailand causes too much lag) and my rank kept being misreported during play.  So I decided to keep playing and got additional awards which I had already been awarded.

During this time I got a couple of rank ups that I didn't deserve, so I decided to stop playing.
My concern is that I might be punished later by EA.  None of this is my fault,  I wasn't cheating and in no way tried to do anything unethical.

Any advice or has anybody heard of any punishment for this sort of occurence.

Not your fault. EA can't get their shit together on their stats server, so don't worry about it.

I've gotten one of the 2000 point ribbons like 4 times now.

This has been happening to almost everyone. EA/DICE can't go around punishing people because of their fuck-ups.

Yeah, your screwed. EA is going to find out in about a day that you've been hacking into servers and getting repeat awards. They will reset you, and hardware ban you from the game.

You are eligable for a ban! Do you want it, no? Then answer his damn question Mr. Funny.

As to answer the question: No, you will not get reset.

I have been awarded several ribbons and badges multiple times, it depends on the server you are playing on. Servers that display your rank as private, are most likely to give you awards that you have allready earned.

I think this happens when when you are ranked as a private but still have all your unlocks.

I got a couple of ribbons and badges that I already had but felt just as the OP so I logged out and started again.

If you find a lucky server that shows you as a private, go for all those ribbons and badges you've had before.  You'll get them again and keep the points for them.

I think it's a just an unofficial lottery, if you're lucky enough to hit the right server, you get bonus points.

Meh it doesn't matter that much anyway.. Career points don't really mean a lot once you hit Brigadier General..
So I don't think that EA would really care.. I mean; yes as a new player you might get lucky and rank up really, really fast.. But hey; it's their fault, their problem..
