Is searching really that hard?

Usually, in the most remote building I can find. Preferably behind a wall, and with four walls around me, or at least splash-damage distance from the edge.
Failing that, out so far from the battle it's not worth finding me or wasting arty on me.

Whenever I play commader I always zoom in and manually check whenever I see an unused vehicle parking somewhere where there's no spawnpoint.
Very often I find myself double-checking the spawnpoints with empty cars too.
As a conclusion:
1) In a vehicle you only show up on the radar if you're sitting on the driver's seat.
2) You DO show up on the UAV if you're in a vehicle on a seat other than the driver's.
3) Vehicles with noone on the driver seat show up as an empty vehicle on the map.
4) Spec-Ops don't show up on radar if they are stationary, but show up on UAV.
Is all that correct?
