Nooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so the title to the thread should have been, how to kill the highest number of enemies before dying once while using the least number of shots

just... hit more? lol
this is my first FPS and i'm pretty accurate with most guns, i'm more accurate than my stats reflect, b/c i sucked at this game until like 15k points, but whatever
i can't really give any advice other than to just practice
but practice with the same kit/gun, then you'll get more practice faster

i use to wildly fire. still do my accuracy % is terrable it was at 15 then is stoped shooting at the wall .JET_G raidensen wrote:
I have 33.17% accuracy, i just didnt wildy fire, is all, and played sniper alot.
an using a AR is a easy way to get it up if u can hit ppl
Ppl look at the 'weapon' K/D ratio over the 'kit' K/D ratio for that reason. You should know by now not to look at the kit death ratio or simply ingore it in the stats. It's not even considered in signatures for a reason.Im_Dooomed wrote:
Well, I was looking at my stats last night, and I only have an Accuracy of 17.86%. I then proceeded to look at the accuracy for each weapon and thought to myself, I got 30%+ with some and 14%- with others...So this lead me to believe that now, being better then I was when I first made this account, if I began using the weapons I have poor accuracy with again, will it drastically boost the accuracy rate after a few games?
This goes the same for Kits, I am .8 and .8 with Spec, and Anti-tank...But 1.3 + with most the others. So using these two kits, and with just the knowledge of knowing I have to be more accurate and not spray and pray while using them, will help boost K/D ratio.
So here are some tips I was thinking of:
-Get in Armor/Apc/Jet to boost K/D ratio with whatever kit. I believe this is within the limits of the game. And not considered real 'Stat Padding' like the K/P servers.
-Stay in a squad with the said kit that needs improvement, chances are you will stay alive more, and after dying, and getting revived by squad member, your next death does not count towards K/D ratio, nor any after.
-Get on heavily populated air maps with said kit, and stay in AA, or get in AA tank. Stay within cover of a close building or trees, and don't drive around much. If you want, turn your volume up/use good headphones and wait until you hear the sound of a jet, then JUMP in the AA tank. They wont notice you as easily.Take down as many jets/heli's as possible.
-Use your pistol when you are out of ammo in a close fire fight. I recommend changing one of your mouse buttons to switch to pistol immediately. This has saved my life in the game many times. And it improves K/D ratio and Accuracy (pistol is pretty damn accurate)
-If you want to work on K/D ratio, get on a 24/7 Jalalabad server as Mec, and be sniper kit. This map requires USA to run a LONG way to get to a flag thus giving you a chance to take a lot of them out. I have gone 30+ kills with less then 10 deaths this way. Snipers are annoying enough I agree. So I want to add I am not a claymore whore!
--------------------------
Well this is all I have thought of so far. I wanted to help improve everybody's K/D ratio, because I know how annoying it is/stressful to always get killed. Especially by say someone with less body armor then you even if your Assault or Support!
If someone can provide a tip, or photos on how to deal with recoil on some guns, that would be helpful. Right now I seem to get more kills on single shot. I fire rapidly and adjust for recoil.
Any other tips we can provide for the community?
With that in mind, just practice.
Accuracy? put your video settings to low and test out on a few maps. Then medium and test it out again. Then higher and again test it out (may take spanning over a few days or up to a week) but from there you will be able to know your settings.
Fire at an empty wall with a flag in the background (toggle flags on and off) and fire into the wall and see where your bullets land (with 1 shot tapping and 3 shot bursts). Firing full auto will just get you attention if someone is nearby and you can't see them (or the commander is passed out)

learn to aim.
blunts own and i miss stryykerstryyker wrote:
I just magically got better after I was a 2nd Lt.
But I have tips:
- Play Special Forces - Its superior to Vanilla
- Dont use unlocks - Helps to gain a skillbase
- Whore - Use nades/GL/vehicles (anything but claymores) To gain an advantage
- Karkand - Don't play it
- Squads - Use them
- VOIP - Use it
- If you suck, get better
essentially yours, but blunt
I like to improve my accuracy by shooting exploding barrels and then banging my hands together in amusement.
Ya, learning to aim isn't that easy when guys are running in any direction BUT directly at you. The HIT BOX on infantry does lag just like on jets. I have shot just a touch in front of someone, directly aimed at them, and aiming just a tad behind them, and never seem to get a hit. The guns are terribly INACCURATE. I wish BF2 was more like the Project Reality mod. I've heard good things about that, but I haven't played because it doesn't install.

buy a better video card, play in squads with medics, bunny hop to gain better position for the kills.
I guess my graphics are on to high? I do have an ATI X1800 Sapphire card. Running in 1152x864 with Anti Aliasing, Anisotrophic filtering at 6x and 16x....I didn't blow $200+ to play this game on low graphic settings, but if I lag and didn't know, I guess I should try different resolutions.

- As I said before, practice.
- Supress your panic instinct.
- High-damage weapons; less shots needed == less shots fired == less shots missed.
- Aim, THEN fire.
- Short bursts at range.
- Learn when to use semi auto.

play karkand IO, only join a squad with at least 3 medics, use the g36e. no matter how many times you die a medic will revive you so not killing your k/d ratio and the g36e is so acurate you should always get a hit when firing at someone. SORTED! LOL
Perhaps some people are sick of being a medic whore? Maybe people want a challenge and like to pick different kits? I agree though about joining the proper squad.
It also helps when you get into a new game, to check each squad's points, and if they have 1 or 2 medics in their squad, check to see what kits they all are first before you pick yours. I almost always go support or anti-tank for any squad I join that already has medics.
I kinda disagree with the comment about aiming first then shooting. Its true in a 1vs1, both enemies in view of each other-kind of scenario. But I kinda like the scare tactic method and just start blasting as I come around a corner. Seems like anybody who's there kinda gets frightened, thats when i start my aiming. (I don't do this all the time, I know it might be dumb because your accuracy goes down the shitter, but just humor me.)
But seriously, the guns are inaccurate. You can shoot at a wall, with a semi-auto, and see each bullet hits somewhere else. Unless your prone its better. but isn't that just an extra half-second you have to wait before you can shoot? Is it quicker to just crouch? (This is mid-range gunning)
I also found if you do crouch, you can get up and run away quicker, if your prone you have no chance to run if your getting hit bad....
I guess you can argue that if you went prone in the first place, you would have a better chance to come out on top. So you should just take the chance and accept a death if you don't win? Or crouch and retreat, find a medic, and live to fight another time?
